Eng Kee BKT is located right in Ang Mo Kio inside Teck Ghee Court Market and Food Centre. As seen from their signs, they were featured on multiple outlets and TV channel before. But is it still worthy of their title of good food?

Mysterio order their pig trotter and it only cost $6.50. The portion size of their pig trotter is surprising huge and can be shared by 2 persons.

As for taste wise, the pig trotter meat is very Very VERY SOFT and TENDER. The kind where it just falls off upon touch it kind. In other words, it also meant that it has been cooking for a long time. There are a mix of fatty and non fatty meat in the pig trotter and its simply the best pig trotter Mysterio had eaten. The soup that it was cooked in was the sweet pig trotter style rather than the vinegar style, so if you are looking for vinegar pig trotter, then this stall is the wrong one. This dish is a bit more salty than Mysterio expected but the sauces goes very well with the rice, its like it is meant for you to pair it perfectly with the pig trotter.

Eng Kee Bak Kut Teh Dish

Now moving onto the Bak Kut Teh, there is an reasonable amount of pork ribs in this dish. The Bak Kut Teh style is the peppery type. The meat on the pork ribs is kind of disappointing as it was quite tough and hard to bite through. As for the soup, it doesnt really have much flavor in it and it just falls short of expectations.

Mysterio rate it 4.5/5 Stars for the Pig Trotter and 2.0/5 Stars for BKT

• Half a star was taken from the pig trotter is because of the slight saltiness of the dish as well as the super long queue for it, but good food is always worth the wait right.

• For the BKT, it just falls short of whatever expectation you have especially the name of the store is Bak Kut Teh, but to each its own, at least the pig trotter is a hit.
